Ronald L. Havner, Jr.
Chairman of the Board

Ronald L. Havner, Jr. has been Chairman of PS Business Parks since March 1998 and was Chief Executive Officer of PS Business Parks from March 1998 until August 2003. He is the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of Public Storage, an affiliate of PS Business Parks.  He is also a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Inc. (“NAREIT”) and a member of NYU REIT Center Board of Advisors. He is also a director of Business Machine Security, Inc.

James H. Kropp
Director

James H. Kropp is Chairman of the Compensation Committee, a member of the Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee and became a director of PS Business Parks in March 1998. Mr. Kropp is the Chief Investment Officer at i3 Funds LLC beginning in 2009 and has served as interim CFO of TaxEase LLC during 2009 and to date. He was Senior Vice President-Investments of Gazit Group USA, Inc., a real estate investor, from 2006 to 2008. He served as a managing director of Christopher Weil & Company, Inc., a securities broker-dealer and registered investment adviser, from April 1995 to 2004 and was portfolio manager for Realty Enterprise Funds from 1998 until 2006. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Trustee as well as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of its governance and independent trustee committees of The CNL Funds, a registered investment company, from May 2007 to present. He was a Director of Trustreet Properties Inc. and its predecessor, US Restaurant Properties Inc. from 2002 through February 2007 and served as Chairman of its Audit Committee and Compensation Committee and as a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance committees during his tenure. Mr. Kropp was also previously a member of the board of directors of Madison Park Real Estate Investment Trust.

Joseph D. Russell, Jr.
President
Chief Executive Officer

Joseph D. Russell, Jr. was named Chief Executive Officer and a director of PS Business Parks in 2003; he had served as the company’s President since 2002.

Prior to joining PS Business Parks, Mr. Russell was with Spieker Partners. He became an officer of the company when it went public as a REIT in 1993. Prior to its merger with Equity Office Properties, Mr. Russell was President of Spieker Properties’ Silicon Valley Region.

Joseph Russell worked in marketing for IBM for approximately six years before his involvement in real estate properties.Mr. Russell earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School. He is a member and past President of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Silicon Valley Chapter.

Michael V. McGee
Director

Michael V. McGee is Chairman of the Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee, a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees and became a director of PS Business Parks in August 2006.  He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pardee Homes, the largest wholly-owned subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company (WRECO), part of Weyerhaeuser Company. Mr. McGee is a member of the Board of Directors of HomeAid America, the California Building Industry Foundation Research Advisory Board, the Urban Land Institute and the California Business Roundtable.

Jennifer Holden Dunbar
Director

Jennifer Dunbar Holden is a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees and became a director of PS Business Parks in February 2009. Since 2001, Ms. Dunbar has been the managing director and co-founder of Dunbar Partners, LLC, an investment/advisory firm that makes direct investments in and provides strategic, due diligence and human capital services to private equity firms and middle market companies. Ms. Dunbar was previously a partner with Leonard Green and Partners where she spent ten years investing in private equity transactions and serving on numerous public and private company boards. She is also a director of Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation.

Sara Grootwassink Lewis
Director

Sara Grootwassink Lewis is a member of the Audit and Nominating/Corporate Governance Committees and became a director of PS Business Parks in February 2010.  She is currently a private investor and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (NYSE:WRE) from May 2002 through February 2009. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of CapitalSource Inc. (NYSE:CSE) since 2004 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. Lewis is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant.

Gary Pruitt
Director

Gary Pruitt served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Univar N.V. from 2002 until his retirement as Chief Executive Officer in 2010 and as Chairman in 2011. Univar N.V. is a chemical distribution company based in Bellevue, Washington, with distribution centers in the United States, Canada and Europe. Mr. Pruitt is also a trustee of Public Storage and a director of Itron, Inc. and Esterline Technologies Corp.

Peter Schultz
Director

Peter Schultz served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of The Beacon Group, Inc. and its affiliates for more than 25 years until his retirement in 2010. Under his leadership, The Beacon Group, Inc., based in Southern California, and its affiliates, engaged in the development and management of more than 3 million square feet of retail, industrial, hospitality and residential projects.
